Libertarians
I'm reading material on the Libertarian party, and so far, I like what I see. The main selling points of the LP for me are:
I've requested information, but I can tell you that the big sticking point for me joining is the $25 membership fee.
- Major reduction in government
- Emphasis on personal responsibility
- Open immigration
- Anti-gun control
- No welfare statism

-Of course I won't stop thinking! I will never be a party "hardliner", but I generally agree with their principles. I do know the differences I have with them (ie, I am firmly against abortion), but I have to put my flag somewheres.

Brandon--the problem with Libertarians is that they're generally liberal on social issues. You'll be hard pressed to find a liberal who is adamantly pro-life, and they never oppose gay marriage. This alone makes them not a votable option for the majority of conservative Christians. On economic policy, though, they're usually better than the Republicans--Bush has been way too quick to spend, and hasn't cut nearly enough.
